About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Process Excellence and Innovation Director to join our team at DP World Australia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements across our Supply Chain, driving business process and continuous improvement initiatives, and championing automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality within our regional air, ocean, and road freight teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to implement the latest disruptive initiatives aimed at reducing time, increasing productivity, or improving operations quality across teams.
- Visibility and Reporting: Implement mechanisms to provide visibility of all innovation and tech projects to leadership.
- Technology Innovation Budget: Develop and manage the technology innovation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
- Automation and Optimization: Identify opportunities to implement automation tools across businesses impacting the supply chain positively.
- Pilot and Launch: Take ownership from the initial phase of pilots (to show proof-of-concept) till launch/go-live.
- Control Tower Optimization: Automate and optimize Control Tower teams and equip them with digital and innovation-based tools for seamless operations execution and leadership visibility.
- Process Standardization: Define, audit, and implement global processes and standard KPIs/metrics creating a common process of execution across teams and branches.
- Process Excellence Solutions: Work with data analytics and technical teams to build process excellence solutions.
- Process Documentation: Develop and document Current state and Future state of processes along with business cases on impact for leadership and stakeholder visibility.
- Metrics and Measurement: Identify and support the development of metrics/measurement tools according to the customer's requirements and DP World's capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree: Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Information Technology: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- Business Implementation: Proven experience in business implementation, continuous improvement in the logistics industry.
- Process Excellence: Proven knowledge of Process Excellence and innovation initiatives implementation in logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, and control).
- Project Management: Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations and regulations.
- Leadership and Communication: Goal and team driven, good motivator and facilitator to ensure that set targets are achieved. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in managing and delivering digital projects, driving technology-based innovation in large logistics or supply chain organizations with at least 5 years+ in a leadership role.
- Emerging Technologies: In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, and data analytics.
- Language Skills: Excellent command in English. Any additional European language would be an advantage.
