Procurement Strategy and Execution

The Project Procurement Lead will develop and implement procurement execution strategies for large-scale investment projects.

This includes owning the end-to-end procurement process, managing risk, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring compliance throughout project execution.

Category and Supplier Management

The successful candidate will lead procurement of goods, including process equipment, electrical equipment, AHUs, utilities pumps & valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, pumps, automation systems, and spare parts.

They will also oversee procurement of services, including construction, piping, HVAC, electrical & cleanroom fit-out, engineering, consulting, and planning services.

Stakeholder Engagement

The successful candidate will work closely with project procurement teams, category managers, and Lonza procurement leadership.

They will partner with Project Directors, Engineers, Quality, EHS, Legal, and Finance teams to align procurement goals.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience managing large-scale CAPEX procurement projects.
  • Strong understanding of plant construction, equipment sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
  • Commercial and contract management skills, including supplier management, risk mitigation, and contract negotiations.
  • A collaborative and strategic mindset, with the ability to work efficiently in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Business-focused analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive results.
