CAPEX Lead – Senior Manager

Location: Visp
Department: Shared Infrastructure

The CAPEX Lead is responsible for the design, execution, and handover of capital investment projects (1–50 MCHF) within Visp’s Shared Infrastructure. This role ensures safety, budget, schedule, quality, and functionality compliance while leading multinational project teams and engaging with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead CAPEX projects from concept to handover, ensuring scope, cost, and timeline adherence.
  2. Establish project charters, control systems, and risk management frameworks.
  3. Oversee engineering, project reviews, and technical compliance.
  4. Manage internal and external resources, ensuring best practices and innovation.
  5. Ensure HSE, regulatory, and quality compliance in all project phases.
  6. Facilitate knowledge-sharing within the engineering community.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Plant, or similar).
  2. 5–10 years engineering experience, including 5 years in CAPEX projects (Energy, Wastewater, etc.).
  3. Strong project management, contract management, and leadership skills in an international environment.
  4. Expertise in infrastructure project engineering, ideally in chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
  5. HSE knowledge, interdisciplinary expertise, and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Fluent in English; German is a plus.
