For our Site in Visp, we’re currently looking for a Head of Plant Engineering Infrastructure & Services (m/w/d). This position has overall management of engineering & maintenance for Infrastructure and Services (Energy
- and Disposal plants, Logistics, EHS und Visp Site Services). The position leads a team of engineers and professionals in the respective areas and is accountable for reliable and cost efficient availability of the relevant assets (including budget and cost monitoring). Furthermore, the incumbent is a member of the Infrastructure Operations Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage plant engineering activities in Infrastructure and Services covering different technologies. Setting up and supervision a team of engineers and professionals. Gives leadership to the team and full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and potential disciplinary issues.
- Implement the Lonza culture via open exchange and new ideas, cooperative teamwork and continuous improvement. Implements a service provider culture in his organization.
- Work as plant engineering lead in capital investment projects for building and commissioning of the manufacturing units. Main responsible for delivering all input required for utilities.
- Responsible for developing and implementing the Maintenance strategy, standards and concepts in the new facilities in alignment with the whole Lonza Visp site and Infrastructure Engineering in particular. Focus on cost-efficient preventive maintenance. Responsible for implementation of change-over strategy.
- Accountable for the annual maintenance and small project CAPEX budget.
- Implement improvement ideas (Innovation) for processes, plants and procedures (maintenance excellence).
- Ensure and manage the interfaces to the Manufacturing teams, Support, QA, Project Engineering and Site Engineering.

Key requirements:

- Bachelor or Master from a technical University or University for applied sciences in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automation
- Business fluent in English and German
- Profound work experience in the area of engineering / maintenance as well as experience in working in CAPEX projects
- Team lead experience and strong leadership skills
- Very good communication skills and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within the organization
- Strong team orientation
