Hobson Prior are looking for a Lead Buyer to join an exceptional biopharmaceutical company on a contract basis, located in Visp. Our Client is focused on preventing illness and supporting a healthier way of life.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the procurement of investments assigned to you and develop a purchasing strategy.
- Responsible for strategic procurement of CHF 40-60 million.
- Supplying the assigned specialist areas and investment projects with materials (systems, subsystems, equipment and spare parts) and services (consulting, engineering, and planning).
- Organize, lead, or participate in strategic and operational procurement projects.
- Participates in the technical purchasing management team.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Capex procurement.
- Training in technical areas (ETH or FH) or similar courses.
- Process engineering, chemical engineering, and plant engineering are preferred areas of study.
- A combination of purchasing, sales, contract management, and project management experience.
- Relationship builder with experience working in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional business mindset, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- A capacity for initiative and resilience.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English and German is essential both orally and in writing.
