The CAPEX Project Lead is responsible for the design, execution and hand-over of CAPEX large investment projects in Visp Shared Infrastructure areas within safety, cost, schedule, quality and functionality. This includes the capability to manage and to provide the leadership to a multinational project team as well the capability to interact with the senior management. This role is at a Senior Manager level and has operative leadership of large CAPEX projects in SI the range of 10 – 120 M CHF.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute the CAPEX project according to budget, scope and on-time deliverables.
  2. Establish project charter including scope of work, goals and deliverable together with the relevant project champion and project lead to support business objectives in collaboration with site level senior management and stakeholders.
  3. Define and implement overall project resources (internal and external) and to provide daily leadership.
  4. Ensure the implementation of the state-of-the-art technical solutions and to ensure compliance with internal and external quality, safety and ecology standards.
  5. Ensure the successful hand-over the project to the user-team including the right level of training and correct documentation.
Key Requirements:
  1. Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Process Engineering or equivalent).
  2. Successful project management and leadership experience on major investment projects in international environment.
  3. Strong leader, motivating team player, drives results, excellent communication skills and experience in managing matrix-based cross-functional teams.
  4. Solid internal and external collaboration and influencing skills and the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of projects.
  5. Excellent command of German and English is a must.
