Client Collaboration
We are currently partnering with the Asset Management division of an international bank in Zurich. As part of this collaboration, we are seeking a skilled Financial Controller who will play a pivotal role in supporting the purchase department.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of the life cycle of purchased products and services to guarantee optimal cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Collaborate with the purchase department in analyzing and optimizing the effectiveness of purchases and the quality of contracts or licenses.
- Participate in strategic and operational discussions regarding cost optimization in partnership with suppliers worldwide.
- Offer expert advice to stakeholders at headquarters and in subsidiaries worldwide.
- Analyze business inquiries and proposals for new products or services and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversight of the proper usage of data worldwide and guidance on compliance matters.
- Preparation of regular reports, including ad hoc reports, for the senior management.
- Participation in projects aimed at enhancing tools and processes within the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Banking & Finance or Controlling.
Significant experience in cost or contract controlling at the bank or as a bank auditor examining contracts.
Familiarity with the services provided by contractual partners such as Bloomberg, MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with IT systems and proficiency in Office and Excel.
Fluency in German and English languages.
