Our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems is a pioneer in pharma packaging, known for its innovative products and technologies. We are a global leader in the development and production of primary and secondary packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.

Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) Product Engineer to join our global R&D department in St. Gallen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new products and technologies, securing their intellectual property, and executing complex innovation and customer-specific projects from idea to market launch.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop new products and technologies, and secure their intellectual property.
  • Be an expert in polymer, glass, or rubber products and related technologies, and in the development of primary and secondary packaging.
  • Execute complex innovation and customer-specific projects from idea to market launch.
  • Plan technical work packages and deliver them according to quality, delivery, and cost targets, in alignment with your project manager.
  • Understand regulatory and technical customer requirements, and production processes and their impact on product functionalities and vice versa.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Life Science or Engineering (medical technology, pharmaceutical engineering, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, etc.).
  • (5+) 2+ years of working experience in product development of medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging.
  • Knowledge and experience with glass, rubber, or polymer products and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of design control process, process validation, and related standards and regulations (21 CFR 820; ISO 13485; ISO 15378).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and in German (written and spoken).
  • Structured working style and ability to plan and prioritize technical activities.
  • Creativity and ability to think out of the box and generate intellectual property.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
