About the Role
As a Portfolio Director with our esteemed client, a European Infrastructure Manager with global ambitions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of their Value Creation team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic organization and contribute to the growth and success of their portfolio companies.

This senior leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a strong track record in financial management, operational execution, and due diligence or corporate M&A experience within an infrastructure company. You will work closely with the investment team to develop and manage the portfolio companies, driving financial and operational optimization and valuation.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or science, and preferably an MBA. A minimum of 10 years of experience in an investment or senior leadership role within an energy or transportation company is essential. Top-tier strategy consulting or private equity, infrastructure background, preferably in combination with corporate experience within a transportation company, is highly valued.

You will be responsible for:
  • Monitory and implementing the business plan and value creation work for portfolio companies
  • Establishing and managing relationships with C-level potential investors and business partners
  • Buiding a business network and ecosystem within the Transportation and Energy field with long-lasting relationships
  • Involved in the operational due diligence process of new companies/investments
  • Identifying potential business opportunities within the portfolio companies
  • Actively involved in the operational due diligence on potential investments and project finance
  • Lead or coordinate and negotiate with different stakeholders of the
  • Presenting business recommendations to the executive committee and CEO
  • Building strong relationships with portfolio company C-level
  • Leading strategy in financial and operational optimization and valuation
  • Driving Financial best practice across the SETF Portfolio
  • Collaborating with the finance committee and working with relevant internal colleagues and the board of directors, ensuring each portfolio company delivers annual budget and revised 5-year plan within the expected time-frame
  • Advising team members of relevant market information
  • A member of the Board of portfolio companies and reports to the Head of Investments
