Job Summary
We are seeking a Strategic Buyer for Service to join our team in Zurich. As a key member of our High Voltage Products division, you will be responsible for procurement activities within your assigned area, focusing on executing category strategies in support of our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time-delivery performance and operational supplier quality
- Process orders, follow up with suppliers, monitor deliveries, and process order deviations and complaints
- Negotiate with suppliers on prices and delivery times
- Create frame contracts to increase price competitiveness and material availability
- Procure components and assemblies
- Ensure correct and precise master data, including monitoring and adjusting system data, working on inventory reduction, and handling error messages
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Engineering, Project Management, and Production, as well as internal/external suppliers
Requirements
- Technical or commercial educational background, with further technical or commercial education
- Several years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in German, both written and spoken; good English skills are an asset
- Solid expertise in SAP and MS Office
