Electromagnetics Expert Wanted for Research and Development

We are a vibrant, multicultural team at the IT'IS Foundation driving cutting-edge technologies in electromagnetics. Our dedicated mission is to expand knowledge and technology in EM characterization, optimization, application, predictive modeling, interactions between physical agents, and medical applications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in research projects in electromagnetics and its applications (wireless systems, magnetic resonance imaging, novel therapies applying EM fields)
  • Making world-class scientific contributions to EM theory, modeling, optimization, and application
  • Developing novel instrumentation, computational methods, and characterization procedures
  • Collaborating with external partners and providing hardware support for customers

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with EM simulation software (e.g., Sim4Life, COMSOL, ANSYS) and/or EM measurement instruments
  • Programming skills in C++ and/or Python
  • Knowledge in areas like wireless communication systems, radiofrequency antenna simulation, electrodynamics, numerical simulation of EM fields, biomedical engineering, error analysis, and uncertainty conventions
  • Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality work, self-motivation, good organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, friendly personality, and teamwork
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines

As an Electromagnetics Expert, you can expect a competitive salary of CHF 120,000 - CHF 180,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
