Oversee End-to-End Project Delivery
VAT, a leading international developer, manufacturer and supplier of high-performance high-end vacuum valves and vacuum sealing technology, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional project teams within a matrix organization structure. As a key point of contact for global account managers, you will ensure seamless communication and alignment while facilitating effective collaboration among team members from different business units and locations.
As a dynamic leader, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with global account objectives. Your strong adaptive communication skills will enable you to structure and influence discussions within the team as well as senior management and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams within a matrix organization structure (no direct reports).
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with global account objectives.
- Create and maintain an innovative working environment that encourages teamwork, learning agility, and individual contributions.
- Facilitate effective collaboration among team members from different business units and locations, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the global accounts.
- Serve as the key point of contact for global account managers, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to regularly reflect on their processes and outcomes and implement improvements accordingly.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the success of the product development process, ensuring that the team is proactive in addressing challenges.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical or Mechatronics); other degrees will be considered based on experience. An advanced degree is preferred (MSc, PhD, or MBA).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a global matrix organization.
- Several years of work experience as a project manager (5+) in product development.
- Broad entrepreneurial profile with affinity to technical, supply, marketing, and quality topics.
- Able to execute projects of significant complexity and uncertainty from concept through initial prototype with minimal supervision.
- Strong adaptive communication skills to structure and influence discussions within the team as well as senior management and stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and rapid prototyping are an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS365, DevOps, Project Management Software, and demonstrated ability to learn other business software.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
- Willing to travel (approx. 5%).
- Work experience in vacuum technology / semiconductors beneficial.
For this role, we offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. We also provide flexible options for hybrid working and opportunities for professional growth and development.
