About the Team

As a key member of the I&D Architecture, Salesforce, and Solution Design team, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Solution Architecture for both IATA's custom-built and commercially available IT solutions. This role encompasses a diverse range of technologies, including Java/JEE, .NET, and cloud-based solutions such as AWS and Mulesoft. You will serve as the subject matter expert for the design of IATA's solutions and products, ensuring quality implementation for the projects and enhancements assigned to you. Your responsibilities will include creating high-level design documents and defining coding best practices and integration options, including middleware products like Biztalk, Mulesoft, and AWS.

Daily Responsibilities

Solution Architecture:
- Design essential technical components of IATA's IT solutions and manage the complete technical implementation.
- Engage in design discussions with business and IT teams to present various design alternatives.
- Ensure that the technical design aligns with the overall enterprise architecture and scales appropriately.
- Establish technical best practices for implementation and provide architecture/high-level design documentation.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Identify potential application performance bottlenecks early in the implementation and recommend solutions.
- Detect any application or code security vulnerabilities and propose corrective actions.
General Architecture:
- Demonstrate strong expertise in various integration options, particularly Mulesoft.
- Develop, communicate, maintain, and enforce the overall architecture (applications, data, integration, etc.) across projects.
- Contribute to the enterprise architecture group, ensuring system architecture and governance across the business and its IT suppliers for end-to-end solution integrity.
- Facilitate collaboration among all technical streams within projects/programs to ensure successful delivery of integrated solutions.
- Provide overarching design principles for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, manageability, and security.
- Produce the necessary formal architecture and design documentation.
- Collaborate closely with project management and development teams to assist in planning, reviewing project schedules, and conducting gap analyses.
- Define subsystems and major components and their interrelations.
- Ensure that overall solution specifications are documented, updated, and controlled.
- Oversee the development of interfaces for different components to meet specifications.
- Assist in creating reusable assets for future projects.

Qualifications

- BSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience working with Microsoft and AWS at a senior level.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect.
- Proven experience in bespoke software development, integration, and configuration of COTS products.
- Experience delivering solutions using Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
- Strong ability to communicate technical solutions to senior business leaders.
- Proficient knowledge of Java/JEE, web services (SOAP/REST), and cloud-based technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), as well as ERP/CRM architectures and solutions.
