About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research and Development Associate to join our team at the University of Zurich. As a key member of our R&D team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily research activities, focusing on primary cell culture work and molecular biology assays.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research experiments and analyze results
- Plan and execute research projects, including literature research as needed
- Report and present research findings to the team
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or a related laboratory science
- Experience in aseptic cell culture techniques and primary cell culture
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology methods, including qPCR, Western Blot, and immunostaining
- Experience with Flow Cytometry is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in English; German is an advantage
- Valid work permit for Switzerland
