Operational Excellence Manager

As an Operational Excellence Manager, you'll play a critical role in establishing and deploying our Site and Asset's OE roadmap, fostering a culture of excellence, and leading the implementation of the Lonza Business Management System (LBMS). This role is key to driving performance improvement and serving as a change agent through stakeholder management.
The Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for delivering and supporting complex projects within the designated site/asset, acting as a change agent through stakeholder management, earning buy-in, and demonstrating a clear return on investment to the organization. You'll mentor Global Business (GB) professionals on organizational improvement projects, lead and coach cross-functional teams, and train and share experiences with Yellow Belts and Green Belts.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the roll-out of LBMS in operation functions, including maturity assessments, target setup, and roadmap implementation.
- Drive performance improvement by working closely with operation functions to set up KPIs and priority projects, leading and facilitating improvement/problem-solving workshops, and providing consultant and methodology support.
- Train and mentor Green Belt projects.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
- Preferred area of study: Industrial Engineering, Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Advanced years of experience in Lean Six Sigma, with pharma industry experience a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and interaction with various interfaces within customers and the project organization.
- Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude.
- Fluent in English, with German or Chinese a plus.
