The Operational Excellence Manager will play a key role in defining and implementing the Operational Excellence strategy at BioAtrium. This includes the deployment of lean and six sigma tools to drive continued improvement and create a culture of excellence. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate the implementation of sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement Value Stream Maps to identify improvement opportunities and deliver effective solutions.
- Mentor and coach team members in lean and six sigma methodologies, including white, yellow, and green belts.
- Lead and facilitate improvement/problem-solving workshops to drive cultural change.
- Work with the team to uncover and assess lean opportunities, prioritizing projects with the greatest benefit and supporting delivery with well-executed sustainable steps.
- Lead specific projects, applying lean and six sigma tools to improve processes and drive results.
- Collaborate with all departments in BioAtrium to identify and implement key metrics at appropriate levels of the business.
- Contribute to the development of strategy to align and prioritize lean/CI initiatives and project objectives for BioAtrium.
- Work with functional leaders to establish continuous improvement goals and act as a liaison with finance to build improvement budgets and validate actual improvement ROI results.
- Effect change by influencing operational teams to adopt lean concepts, such as 5s, A3, PDCA, standard work, DMAIC, problem-solving, visual management, and lean flow in their daily work.
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
- Preferred area of study: Industrial Engineering, Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Advanced number of years of experience in the area of Lean Six Sigma, with experience in pharma industrial a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required.
- Strong leadership skills, very good communication skills, and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within customers and the project organization.
- Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude.
- Fluent in English, German or Chinese a plus.
