About the Job
We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the World Meteorological Organization. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our offices and providing administrative support to our senior staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide administrative support to senior staff members, including drafting reports, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Develop and implement efficient administrative procedures to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Analyze data and information to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in general office support or similar administrative functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and Oracle applications.
- Excellent communication and diplomatic skills as well as tact and sensitivity.
- Sense of initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and familiarity with the administrative procedures and processes of an international organization.
Benefits
- Annual net base salary on initial appointment: $78,737.
- Possibility of renewal subject to the availability of funds and pending satisfactory performance after an initial probationary period of one year which can be extended up to a maximum of two years.
