Today, Lindt & Sprüngli produces quality chocolates at its 12 factories in Europe and the USA. Its products are sold by 32 subsidiaries and regional offices, in around 500 of its own shops as well as via a network of more than 100 independent distributors around the globe and with more than 14,000 employees.
Lindt´s Head of Consumer Market Intelligence (CMI) is a critical role that links consumer needs with the business strategy, enabling the company to remain agile and responsive in a competitive market.
This senior leadership position combines a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and data analysis to provide critical insights that drive decision-making and development of key initiatives.
Starting June 1st 2024, in this role you will report into our Global Head of Marketing and will have one direct report who is Senior Global Insights Manager.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Consumer Understanding: Lindt´s Head of CMI is responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding of consumer preferences, behaviors and trends. This involves conducting consumer research, surveys, and analyzing market data to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Strategic Planning: The role involves contributing to the company's strategic planning process, considering the big picture. The Head of CMI works closely with executive leadership to align the business strategy with consumer insights.
- Team Leadership: She/he will lead a small international team and inspire, train and guide the broader worldwide marketing and research community in Lindt´s decentralised organization.
- Product Development: Lindt´s Head of CMI is instrumental in new product development by providing data-driven insights to guide product design and features. She/he collaborates with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to ensure products meet consumer demands.
- Communication: Effective communication and stake-holder management is crucial as the Lindt´s Head of CMI must present findings and recommendations to senior management and other departments. Translation of complex data into digestible and actionable strategies, is required.
- Market Analysis: He/she gathers and analyzes data related to market trends, competition, and industry dynamics. This includes monitoring market developments, identifying growth opportunities, and assessing threats.
- Data Analytics: Utilizing advanced data analytics tools and techniques, she/he extracts actionable insights from large datasets, identifying patterns, correlations, and opportunities for innovation.
- Technology Integration: Keeping up with technological advancements in data analytics and market research industry is essential to ensure Lindt remains at the pulse of time.
YOUR PROFILE:
- A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of successful implementation of consumer and market insights
- Extensive experience and competence in qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software for knowledge management and DIY approaches.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Persuasive communicator.
- The ability to think strategically and to translate data into actionable insights.
- Curious, positive and get things done mindset.
- Passionate about Lindt´s mission to drive the consumer and shopper centricity enabling data-based decisions.
- FMCG industry experience not essential but appreciated.
- Languages: excellent command of written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages are a bonus.
