THE POSITION
The Roche Pharma Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) has overall responsibility for all global external manufacturing activities required to ensure patient supply at Roche. This covers approximately 80 partners and over 80 external manufacturing sites, across the categories of development, small molecules drug substance, large molecules drug substance, drug products, finished goods and devices. This represents a portfolio of more than 50 development & launch products, greater than 60 commercial products and spend of >CHF1.9b.
The CDMO is on a transformation journey towards becoming a more agile, collaborative and efficient organization led by inspired leaders. We aim to create an empowered organization focused around Chapters, whereby each chapter contains complementary and diverse skill sets to enable both an end-to-end perspective and complete span of control for the respective area.

**Position Summary**
This position reports directly to the Head of Head of CDMO and as part of the CDMO Enabling Team plays a key role in shaping and implementing Continuous Improvements that Drive Value across the CDMO Network and are aligned with the CDMO Strategy and overall Roche Pharma vision.
Together with the CDMO Leadership, the Value Capture Chapter lead is responsible for Business/Process Optimization for all services that support the CDMO site management chapters. This includes Leading regular KPI reporting, building and maintaining the CDMO database(s) Business Process ownership (etc.)

This role requires a leader who is entrepreneurial and strategic, comfortable with both hands-on executional work and big picture thinking. The Value Delivery Chapter Lead acts as a strategic partner to key internal and external stakeholders in support of a wide range of organizational priorities and operational needs to fulfill supply chain requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead an empowered team of approximately 8 -10 Chapter Members with a wide range of expertise (coming from multidisciplinary functions) to ensure “Right to Operate” by implementing a customer-orientated, lean end-to-end mindset
- Collaborate with other Chapter Leads, Squad Leads and Stakeholders to proactively address current and future needs of the Chapter and organization (e.g. skills, capabilities, technologies, etc.), co-create and embed the long-term CDMO vision and strategy
- Coach the organization in problem solving and continuous improvement
- Develop a roadmap to drive efficiency and effectiveness through continuous improvement and the establishment of harmonized/standardized systems, processes and tools
- Responsible for talent management of the direct report team in accordance with the Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach (VACC) model. Including but not limited to overall talent management strategy, personal and professional development, driving an agile mindset, demonstrating vision and serving as an architect, catalyst and coach
- Accountable for co-creating strategies to optimize budget and spending, including monitoring spending patterns and implementing measures to promote adherence to budgets
- Coach team members (rather than direct) to drive resolution of supply/manufacturing challenges and to ensure CDMOs and other relevant partners/alliances achieve and maintain a high quality standards
- Demonstrates outstanding business and operational manufacturing acumen, including the realization of initiatives to improve supply reliability and increase efficiency
**Additional responsibilities may include**:
- Looks beyond area of responsibility to define and resolve complex, operational and organizational problems leveraging resources within or outside department with E2E product view
- Negotiates with (Senior) management internally and externally to influence decisions
- Provide leadership and oversight to the overall CDMO transformation, including supporting establishing multi-year strategies, performance metrics and operating model to enable a successful organizational transformation
- Single Point of Contact for a specific stakeholder group for strategic alignment, active partner in stakeholder leadership teams and governance meetings internally (PTT, PTQ, Procurement, Internal Sites)
- Be a visible and dynamic champion of CDMO Vision. Facilitate the creation of the CDMO, strategies and culture
