**Your tasks**:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team at our office in Zurich. This is a part-time position, offering a 50% - 60% workload, with a commitment of 20 or 24 hours per week.
- Pre-Accounting and Reporting:

- Prepare and submit financial data, including student payment summaries, student charges, and outstanding balances.
- Collect and submit accounting documentation such as expense reports and received invoices
- Support the Head Accountant in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Pro-forma Invoice Preparation:

- Generate accurate pro-forma invoices for students and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with payment schedules and agreements.
- Student Payment Management:

- Process student tuition payments and possible refunds.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records related to student accounts.
- Data Analysis and Excel Proficiency:

- Utilize advanced Excel tools to analyse and report on large datasets.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in payment data or account records.
- Customer Service:

- Provide support to students regarding payment inquiries, financial statements, and account adjustments with a high level of professionalism and empathy.
- Administrative Support:

- Assist the finance team with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

**Your profile**:

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or another qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:

- Minimum of 2-3 years in an accounting or finance-related role, preferably also experienced in a customer-facing role or in a service-oriented environment.
- Experience working with international financial systems and regulations is a plus.
- Skills:

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, etc.) familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong numerical aptitude and excellent analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Knowledge of cross-border insurance practices (e.g., Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Japan) is an advantage.
- Other:

- Strong communication skills in English and German; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch) is a bonus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive and independent work style.
- Swiss nationality or a residence/work permit valid for Switzerland
