Recent Master Internship Immuno-nephrology

Duration of the internship: 9 to 12 months
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support in ongoing lab activities
- Support and learn handling of mouse and human kidney cell lines
- Functional characterization of immune responses using experimental methods such as ELISA, FACS analysis and new assays to develop
- Conducting ex vivo cell-based assays using T cells and other primary cells from human peripheral blood
- Learn differentiating monocyte cells to different subtypes of macrophages
- Perform in-vitro assays, cell cultures with kidney
- and immune-cells. Isolation of immune cells from whole blood

**Minimum requirements**
Education: Recent master, graduation within the last 6 months
Languages: English
Experience/Professional requirements:
- Recent masters in life science, biology, or biochemistry
- Internship in pharmaceutical research and development is an advantage
Desirable requirements:
- Basic knowledge of immunology and cell biology
- Basic knowledge on mammalian cell culture and in-vitro assay, wet-lab activities
- Experience in a range of laboratory techniques including flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy ELISA, qPCR and Western blotting
- Demonstrated ability to develop new assays, critically analyze data, learn and combine new techniques and concepts quickly, design experiments and perform exploratory activities
- Communicate optimally and collaborate with other team members in cross functional team
- Capable of documenting experiments, analyzing, and interpreting data, as well as communicating results within a multi-disciplinary team environment
