**Postgraduate internship Packaging & Device Development**:

**About the role**

We are looking for a recent graduate of packaging science / material science / engineering who will support our sustainability team to ensure that our goals to be PVC free in packaging by 2025 and carbon neutral by 2030 are met This is a great opportunity to get insight into the operation of a global development team and to support the implementation of sustainable primary packaging for solid products.
Preferred start date: as soon as possible
Latest start date: May 1, 2024
Duration: until late December
As member of the polymer blister team you will be responsible for the registration of the blister machine status of Novartis production sites in terms of its future use for mono and mono like polymer blisters and/or for the elaboration of a concept for the pin hole detection of polymer blister base foils.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Registration of blister machine status of Novartis production sites
- Compile an overview of available blister machines at Novartis Operations
- Record critical processing parameters applied for commercial production of thermoform blisters
- List the mechanical configuration of available machines regarding its suitability for sustainable blisters
- Compile URS for pin hole detection
- Search for potential physical methods / solutions and companies dealing with pin hole detection
- General support of the PVC free/sustainable primary packaging team on request; e.g. potential support of material trials, support of lab activities, etc

**Role Requirements**

Essential requirements:

- Recent Bachelor or Master graduate (no PhD) of packaging science, material science or any other relevant engineering discipline (graduation max. ca. 12 months ago)
- Independent working style
- Presentation and scientific/technical writing skills
- Business-level English; German beneficial

Desirable requirements:

- Knowledge of / initial experiences in primary packaging, packaging analytics and packaging processes
- Basic knowledge of project management
