Develop and maintain effective sales strategy in Switzerland and globally (for those initiatives Switzerland is globally responsible for) to improve ABB market penetration for the Automation & Electrification unit as part of the Process Automation Energy Industries PAEN division. Set, plan and ensure execution of sales strategy for specific competencies, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way: order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Monitor proactively sales performance, ensuring development and implementation of correction actions to secure business growth when and where needed. Proactively lead, develop and coach the sales organization to exceed the sales targets through high performance.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Creates, plans, and implements local sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives.
- Lead the Sales team of 5 Sales Specialists. Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates, and develops the team. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
- Defines key sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance. Drives top line growth.
- Identifies and evaluates opportunities with existing and potential new customers, determines plans for implementation and allocates resources.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers in customer and potential customer organizations. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identifies, monitors, and maintains the sales market price levels, evaluating with Product Management pricing impact on the results.
- Identifies and manages potential risks relating to contract agreements.
- Develops, implements, and reviews sales processes and tools, and all related training and development activities.
**Your background**:
- You have a relevant degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science engineering or comparable.
- Team Lead experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, account management or business development of Automation or related solutions ideally within the Swiss market, preferably in the Power Generation, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Water markets.
- Forward-thinking mindset, actively seeking opportunities and proposing solutions. A collaborative, solution-oriented approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A clear understanding of contract negotiations, risk management and commercial and legal terms.
- Fluent German and English.
- Willingness to travel approx. 20-40% within the Hub Central Southern Europe.
