We are looking for Attorney who will be effective in exercising seasoned judgment and providing guidance to business and functional leaders across the organization with responsibility for working on a variety of moderately complex to complex legal matters and projects including day-to-day advice to the company on a range of product regulatory and other regulatory issues. Ensures that legal analysis are conducted in a thorough and professional manner resulting in pragmatic advice for the business.

**Your day to day**:

- Understands objectives and strategies of and supports through legal advice the Regulatory Scientific Affairs and External Affairs functions and L&C colleagues in regions/markets and functions on a variety of regulations including WHO FCTC, product/ingredient law and standards, tobacco and nicotine or other legislation applicable to company’s business - current or future.
- Provide expert advice and legal counsel to clients throughout the organization on a variety of regulatory law matters.
- Support Senior Counsels Regulatory/LS in developing legal arguments in support of company positions and THR strategies for engagement with regulators and other stakeholders.
- Support market lawyers on regulatory questions and provide support in the development of submissions.
- Provide trainings and legal briefings to EA on ad-hoc topics.
- Provide support on drafting, review and negotiation of consultancy agreements.
- Provide support in the review of PMI’s position before country government agencies regarding smoke-free products regulations.
- Provide support on product positioning and drafting and review of product regulatory submission dossiers.
- Stays current on legal developments, standard methodologies, and benchmarks in relevant areas of law. Keeps a legislation database and provides advice to business colleagues.
- Actively collaborate with other members of the legal department, including the Regions and markets in the noted areas of law and according to expectations set for the Center of Expertise.
- Actively contribute within the Regulatory team to the deployment of capability building tools (e.g., newsletters, webcasts) addressing key areas of the Regulatory CoE to the benefit of L&C colleagues.

- Maintains effective working relationships with outside counsel, if applicable.
- Emphasizes the use of industry-standard methodologies for external benchmarking.
- Acts as a teammate and role model for the legal function, encouraging collaboration and standards of excellence.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Law degree and licensed to practice law in a country where PMI operates.
- At least 6 years of concentrated experience in major law firm coupled with in house experience, which demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and applied understanding of area of expertise; both in house and major law firm experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple, conflicting priorities while managing a substantial workload and client expectations.
- Experience of working successfully in a high-performance environment with a focus on excellence.
- Ability to maintain an appropriate perspective regardless of the delicacy or pressure of a situation.
