Advanced Analytics Product Owner

**Primary Job Function**:
The central Advanced Analytics team at the Abbott Established Pharma Division’s (EPD) headquarters in Basel helps define and lead the transformation towards becoming a global, data-driven company with the help of data and modern data technologies (e.g., Machine Learning, Deep Learning). To us, Advanced Analytics is an important lever to reach our business targets, now and in the future; It helps differentiate ourselves from our competition and ensure sustainable revenue growth at optimal margins. Hence the central AA team is an integral part of the Strategy Management Office at EPD that has a very close link and regular interactions with the EPD Senior Leadership Team.

With the above requirements in mind, EPD is looking to fill a role of an AA Product Owner. The AA Product Owner is responsible for driving and delivering targeted business impact with the help of modern data technologies within a business area/ business initiative in collaboration with key stakeholders.

**Core Job Responsibilities**:
Role consists of four capabilities mainly which make core job responsibilities

**Change Management and capability building (25%)**
- Create and refine AA roadmap and targeted “north star” for a respective AA or business area
- Understand end to end picture, define problems and projects with help from business, data scientists and other relevant stakeholders that can be resolved with a data driven / analytical approach.
- Think end to end for any given business problem and make sensible recommendations where machine learning can resolve business problems. Strong impact on usage/integration to drive impact.
- Help set up and drive communication and engagement plan to generate awareness, understanding and buy-in for AA in general and for specific business area in more detail, across EPD and drive capability building.

**Stakeholder Management (25%)**
- Build, consolidate and manage senior stakeholder relations for specific business area, ensure key people are aware of AA opportunities, scope, and roadmap. Ensure structured governance of the roadmap
- Project Management/Product lifecycle management/product ownership for critical AA areas
- Planning, delivery tracking and managing AA projects in various programs
- Progress tracking and reporting, communication with stakeholders and running working groups/workshops
- Coaching of various stakeholders to navigate towards a machine learning and data driven culture

**Managing AA deliveries (50%)**
- Translate and communicate technical deliverables e.g., model outcomes to non-tech/data/analytical -savvy stakeholders.
- Ensure user
- engagement & -adoption for AA insights
- Communicate short
- and -long term project priorities, goals and product vision
- Estimate, anchor and document impact for the relevant deliverables.
- Understand and unblock challenges in the project e.g., during the data gathering, model
- build, -validation or business adoption phase
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log and actively track and seek closure on items for a respective AA or business area. Ensure timely delivery.
- Plan and coordinate work in JIRA and Confluence for internal/external teams

**Position Accountability/Scope**:
The AA Product Owner is responsible for driving and delivering targeted business

impact with the help of modern data technologies within a certain business area (under various programs) in collaboration with key stakeholders.

**Minimum Education**:
Relevant degree in technology, mathematics, science or business with proven ability to communicate and evangelize on the topic of modern data technologies in larger, international organizations.

**Minimum Experience/Training Required**:

- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant working experience as a product owner, combining modern data technologies with change management and capability building, in larger organizations. Demonstrable experience of having led and delivered machine learning and data science projects at least for 3 years. Consulting and change management experience a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of what advanced analytics/ machine learning is and how it can be applied successfully in organizations like Abbott EPD
- Strong, hands-on product ownership experience within the analytics solution domain.
- Pharma experience, emerging markets experience preferred.
