National Group Account Manager Off Trade

Diageo is a world class leader in beverage alcohol, producing an outstanding collection of over 200 brands and owning the top two largest spirit brands in the world, Johnnie Walker and Smirnoff and 20 of the world’s top 100 spirit brands. Its portfolio also includes Crown Royal, J&B, Buchanan’s and Windsor Whiskies, Cîroc and Ketel One vodkas, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray, and Guinness.

Diageo Northern Europe is a diverse region of 11 countries accounting for +500m£ NSV. The newly created CHAT region (Austria & Switzerland) accounts for roughly 60m£ of this with Off Trade having a weight of around 55%.

We are the market leader in Switzerland and striving to further strengthen its position by growing in key categories such as whisky, ready-to-drink and non alc. In Austria, Diageo is the 5th largest branded supplier with significant potential to grow share towards market leadership in the next years.

Top Accountabilities

Driving market leadership
- Develop and drive an off trade channel strategy to unlock strong growth potential.
- Support the development of a strong activation agenda (ATL&BTL) for the channel in working collaboratively with the Head of Customer Activation CHAT.
- Lead innovation agenda partnering with the Category Marketing teams.
- Leading the annual negotiation process for CHAT and single point of contact for the International Customers and Alliances team
- P&L ownership and strong O&R management in collaboration with the Commercial Finance Manager CHAT.

Building a world class sales team
- Being a key member of the CHAT Leadership team and ensure a strong process to share insights and knowledge across the new region
- Develop and lead the talent and organisational capability agenda for the Off Trade team in order to attract, retain and develop the best sales talent in the industry.
- Mentor and develop talent and make a difference to the careers of future leaders
- Build the right capabilities to win in the long-term (data analytics, data insights, perfect store, Net Revenue Management and e-commerce).

Category Development
- Develop a strong category development strategy and agenda for all key off trade customers across the region.
- Coach & support NKAM & KAMs on the implementation of this plan and on the integration in JBPs.
- Actively support the generation of insights from market and shopper data by the Catdev Manager; drive translation into concrete actions and commercial proposals by KAM team.

Revenue Growth Management
- Develop and lead the Revenue Growth strategy of CHAT Off Trade across all NRM levers (pricing, pack & format architecture, mix management, promotional effectiveness and trade terms) alongside the Revenue Growth Manager.

About you
- +10 years of experience in commercial roles within FMCG blue chip multinationals
- A high-reaching commercial professional who has successfully led teams in a matrix and international environments.
- Experience in driving plans partnering with different departments.
- Commercial experience in the off trade channel and negotiation with retail customers is a must.
- Proficient in English and German, French is a plus
