**How will you make an impact?**
Use your expertise in 3rd party collaborations to implement a global set of business partners and all related business interactions across core markets in Analytical Science (Pharma, EFS, Chem/Petro) and Analytical Research (BioPharma, Omics & Academia). This would include managing contracts, royalties, VAR agreements (Value-Added Reseller), co-marketing clauses, etc.
You should be confident in raising flags to collaborate with the legal team on implications of terms on contracts as well as discussing the competitive tradeoffs and revenue implications to product management and marketing teams across the company.
Our organization and industry are constantly evolving in the digital space - you will be working on resolving the smallest verbiage change in a contract renewal one day to contributing to the overall software strategy the next
**What will you do?**
- Work with the Sr. Manager, Partner Management to influence the partner ecosystem that will enhance value to the customer and to the entire Thermo Fisher portfolio of products
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts relating to various matters including purchasing services, software licensing, subscriptions, equipment sales, confidentiality, data security and other common areas daily
- Handle active contracts, renewals and all on-going agreements with our cooperating/competing partners in the chromatography and mass spectrometry business
- Present benefits vs. trade-offs to evaluate various agreement structures such as OEM, VAR, co-marketing, reselling, etc.
- Be the division’s point of contact for contractual, return on investment, and competitive questions related to 3rd party contracts and agreements, in partnership with our legal and global sourcing teams
- Collaborate with colleagues from other business units on implementation and training to ensure compliance with respect to contract review and approval processes
- Partner with the wider, globally located Thermo Fisher Legal team, inclusive of Legal Counsels, and specialists in Intellectual Property, Governance, Foreign Trade, and Ethics & Compliance, as part of contract review and approval processes
- Understand the material impact on new business development influencing annual perpetual and recurring revenue
- Complete contract and price negotiations for both US and global suppliers for strategic high value enterprise level vendors
- Maintain strong understanding of key clauses to finalize contracts that reduce cost, ensure vendor quality and minimize business and legal risk
**How will you get here?**
**Education**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
**Experience**
- 5+ years experience working with enterprise software in contract negotiations, evaluating partnership models, and revising agreements
- Experience working with OEM partners, VAR channels, and distribution in a matrix sales organization communicating with multi-functional teams
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- High attention to detail with strong conflict resolution skills and ability to balance conflicting priorities
- Intuition For Business in assessing potential and opportunities of partnerships
- Passion and excitement for helping customers and understanding their needs
- Excellent English communication (verbal and written), to be able to discuss and explain complex technical and legal matters with legal and non-legal business partners
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel (preferred geographical location: Europe)
