**Global Category Manager, Renewables Product Group (flexible location)**:

**This position reports to**:
Head of Supply Chain Management, System Drives

**Your responsibilities**:

- Meet and exceed targets set for own area of responsibility (Cost reductions, Supplier OTD, Supplier Quality, lead time etc.) with the help of other support functions.
- Monitor and drive BoM review exercises for all products in the Renewables Global Product Group and define dedicated actions for cost-out, quality and availability improvements.
- Influence the sourcing strategy for top critical components in collaboration with the local and global commodity managers and sourcing teams.
- Monitor and drive the agreed actions from the BoM review exercises and report cost savings, availability status and progress by product and customer project in collaboration with the local and global Supply Chain Management and controlling team.
- Inform and guide, product management and R&D with the strategic and actual view related to the component markets, sourcing strategies and regional price developments.
- Act as main escalation point within Global Product Group Renewables for its own area of responsibility.
- Participate actively on back-to-back contracts in collaboration with sales or other functions.
- Drive contract management with suppliers to regulate specific need of project business.
- Support and/or perform supplier audits in critical cases together with the supply quality function and/or in collaboration with the global commodity manager.
- Align project sourcing activities with Supply Chain Management strategy and approved project’s vendor list. Escalate exceptions to ensure best performance on cost, quality, and availability.
- Develop suppliers in close collaborations with the needed functions.
- Promote internally and externally digitalization and process automation.
- Share good practices globally inside of Supply Chain Management team and colleagues.

**Your background**:

- Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics.
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Category Management and Project Sourcing.
- Good overview of multiple categories in the fields of Mechanics, Electrical, Power Semiconductors or Electronics.
- Experience within the Renewables industry is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership skills and collaboration between different divisions and business areas.
- Fluent and collaborative with wide network of suppliers, internal or external customers.
- Timely and confident problem-solving skills.
- Patient, passionate, ability to work under pressure, persistent with continuously improvement mindset.
- Pro-active and independent decision maker carrying the responsibility.
- Cultural awareness, good communication and negotiation skills, good argumentation and ability to influence internally and externally.
- Good networking and social skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
