Global Product Director

This newly created position is anchored in the Rare Blood Disorders (RBD) team and reporting to the Sr Brand Director Early Assets RBD. The position is based from our office in Zurich.
**The Position**
As Global Product Director, you will support assets in pre launch and early development in our rare blood franchise including interface with rare renal. Working in close collaboration with the global team and taking accountability for the therapy area strategy and commercial direction. Building market awareness and understanding of the patient journey, the disease area, and increasing the understanding of platforms (e.g. sRNAi) will be central to this role.
As the portfolio grows within Rare Disease, this position will be working in close collaboration with new product planning. Additionally, you will support commercial due diligence efforts for external business development opportunities, providing aspirational Target Product Profiles and both identifying and sizing new indications, in collaboration with development and medical teams, to verify feasibility.
Working in an international, matrix environment, having the ability to communicate and align across functions will be critical. We expect the Global Product Director to have a broad understanding of rare drug environments. As you will interface with external stakeholders, you must be comfortable in engaging with experts and KOLs to gauge current and future insights.
**Qualifications**
Before joining industry, you likely obtained a Master’s degree within natural sciences or business administration. Since then, you have gained several years’ experience working in a global pharmaceutical company, working across several functional areas, for example marketing, medical affairs, research and development or business development. You have likely also have experience working at an affiliate level, which enables you to be comfortable deep-diving and engaging directly with key markets.
During your time in industry, you have led pre-launch readiness activities for established assets and have driven early strategy development, bringing commercial insights into clinical development programs, and mapping related opportunities. As a result, you bring knowledge of the competitive landscape and demonstrate understanding of the underlying science.
You describe yourself as curious with an integrative mindset, able to successfully establish relationships and navigate matrix organisations. You influence without authority, bringing projects and initiatives forward with appropriate governance.

Novo Nordisk Rare Disease is a speciality care unit focused on generating scientific and technological breakthroughs for people living with a rare disease. We have a 40-year legacy and expertise in rare blood and endocrine disorders, which make us perfectly placed to drive innovations to lessen the burden and truly achieve life-changing benefits for people living with a rare disease - a population where the unmet need remains high and collectively affect around 350 million people across the globe.
The Early Assets RBD team is primarily be responsible to ensure launch readiness for internal assets in new therapy areas. The work supports the long-term growth of the Rare Disease franchise through accelerating its early pipeline, in close collaboration with R&D, Medical Affairs, Medical and Science, and Business Development.
