Director, Product Management, Aladdin Wealth Tech
This leadership role in Aladdin Wealth Tech is responsible for end-to-end product management of several Aladdin Wealth products, including products co-developed with external partner firms. The role is responsible for setting and executing a product vision for each commercial offering, including product definition, assessing and advancing product/market fit, roadmap planning, development, and delivery. The individual will engage directly with prospective and existing clients, providing support and guidance to our business development, implementation, and relationship management teams. While this individual’s client-facing engagement will focus on European markets, this is a global role with opportunities to advance our products across all markets in which we operate.

Key Responsibilities
The Director of Product Management role is an expansive and high-ownership position. It requires significant expertise in product development, depth in the wealth management industry globally, an ability to execute as a player-coach in a high-performance product organization, sharp commercial instincts, strong technical chops, and the ability to seamlessly “PM time-travel” between today’s execution, next quarter’s priorities, and three-year strategy definition.
This role includes two primary sets of responsibilities:
First, this PM Director owns an EMEA-centric commercial product in AWT’s product lineup. The PM Lead is responsible for:
- Continuously assessing product/market fit of the product, including deciding how to decompose fit of the product by market and client segment.
- Defining, measuring, and acting on a set of key metrics for the product, centered on commercial and usage metrics
- Maintaining a prioritized list of ways to improve product/market fit, including via:
- Product definition, including the features included in the product and how they are delivered
- New feature development
- Product positioning, including the narrative of the product to the market,
- Product distribution strategy
- Product delivery approach, including how the product is implemented, serviced, configured, maintained, and upgraded
- Working closely with Product Marketing to define and create the value proposition, client-facing materials, and demo sites for the product
- Helping prepare for and participating in BD engagements to pitch the product to prospective clients and listening with a keen product ear to prospects’ reception of the product
- Building senior relationships with key clients of the product, including joining client steercos and serving as an escalation point when necessary
- Identifying and evidencing potential growth opportunities for similar or adjacent products
Second, the PM is responsible for one of AWT’s ‘Product Pillars,’ each of which represents a slice of product functionality reused across many products. These responsibilities include:
- Setting the roadmap for the Product Pillar, ensuring that roadmap is aligned to the priorities of the multiple products that use features in the pillar, and making priority tradeoffs among competing needs and opportunities
- Accurately assessing and articulating the resourcing needs of the Pillar relative to other pillars, to help determine the distribution of prod/eng staffing across pillars
- Managing, coaching, and overseeing the PMs aligned to the Product Pillar. Responsible for the quality of work and execution of their team. Also responsible for coaching each team member, providing each the appropriate exposure to learn from others in the organization, and ensuring each team member gets assignments that represent appropriate growth opportunities. Depending on the level of each PM, this can require the PM Lead to act as a sounding board, a guide, a co-author, and/or a role model (doing work personally with visibility from the team) in different situations.
- Driving innovation in the Product Pillar, including by a) extracting insights from usage data and user feedback, b) connecting dots across different product needs and client asks, and c) tracking competitor capabilities.
