As key team member in the HQ team, you ensure monthly/quarterly/annual accounting, reporting, and controlling for the Holding company ABB Asea Brown Boveri Ltd (ABBZH & CHEUR & ABBPG) according to external (US GAAP, CH GAAP) and internal accounting & reporting guidelines. Reporting into FP&A you contribute to the development of accounting/reporting strategies in terms of long-/mid-term business developments in close cooperation with the corporate functions & product groups and the Business Areas in global projects like investments and divestments. You will translate business strategies into plans in your area of responsibility and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks, and recommend actions. Additionally, you will act as Global Product Group controller for PG9948 Trademark Fee. The position will be based in Baden, Switzerland or in Krakow, Poland.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate and timely accounting, reporting and controlling of ABBZH for Group reporting (US GAAP) as well as for Statutory requirements (CH GAAP) and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as per ABB Group Standards, ABB Accounting & Reporting Policies.
- Prepare ABBZH Statutory Financial Statements (incl. Supporting documentation) and coordinate with Group Functions and auditor. Prepare the Board and AGM documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Group internal control requirements as well as with internal control requirements requested by the Swiss Code of Obligations. Ensure timely provision of data, ad hoc reports, and analyses of data upon request of Group Functions and Management.
- Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual submission of actuals, forecasts, and annual performance plan reporting. Close co-operation with FP&A with regard to analysis and “insight” into deviations.
- Actively support Profit Center Head and Controller to ensure accurate accounting and cost control. Monitor cost and related accounting at legal entity level.
- Implement strong and active collaboration with Group Functions (Corporate Controlling, FPA, M&A, L&I, Legal, Tax) as well as HUB and local GBS & CoE in relation with actuals accounting and reporting. Support and advise Group Functions and Operational Business to find solutions for new business models. Identify and implement improvement opportunities (automation, simplification) regarding accounting, reporting, and controlling (SAP, BW, ABACUS, Excel report).
- Ensure accounting and reporting of ABBPG (equity method and purchase price allocation (PPA) Support Group Public Reporting and Group Consolidation team about accounting and reporting of the Hitachi joint venture (ABBPG).
- Support Group Legal and Group Consolidation team about compliance provision (CHEUR). Support COH team, Group Functions and Business for specific ad hoc transactions (Investments, Divestments, Participations, Intangible assets (trademark) accounting).
- Implement and manage process related to ABBZH Trademark fees (TMF) (invoicing team, tax, and legal dept.). Closely monitor (and find solution) any TMF related issues. Ensure accurate reporting of Global Product Group (GPG)9948 on a (monthly)/ quarterly basis. Prepare and report APP for GPG9948.

**Your background**:

- University degree plus experience in Finance, Accounting and Reporting in an international framework, Corporate reporting.
- Knowledge and experience in US GAAP, Swiss statutory accounting (Swiss Code of Obligations) and ABB Accounting & Reporting Policies.
- Experience in accounting of M&A transactions and transfer pricing.
- Several years of experience in a controlling role and with internal controls (ICoFR).
- Several years of experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software (SAP and HFM).
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong team spirit.
- A good command of English.
