Acounting and Reporting Manager

To support Aptissen's growth and development, we are looking to recruit an Accounting and Reporting Manager to complement and strengthen our Finance team. The incumbent will be responsible for the accuracy of the accounts and the issuance of a monthly financial report to the senior management of the company. He/she will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying Aptissen’s financial transactions, reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintain general ledger and perform month-end close procedures. He/she will also be responsible for preparing the group consolidated financial statements under IFRS on a quarterly basis including the Swiss standalone financial statements under Swiss CO annually.

He/she will ensure the company complies with all applicable accounting and financial reporting standards and is ready for upcoming changes in these. He/she will work closely with the VP Finance and provide support on other ad-hoc project following the growth of the company.

**KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Accounting**
- Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles and ensure accuracy of bookkeeping and cut-off for monthly closings
- Prepare internal monthly financial reports on a timely manner
- Conduct month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries
- Coordinate, control and review the month-end and year-end close process of Affiliates
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
- Develop periodic reports for the VP Finance
- Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
- Control company’s expenses and budget variances and report any findings to the VP Finance
- Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management or operations in a timely manner
- Maintain an adequate level of documentation (back-up) for internal control purposes

**Financial Reporting**
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial reporting standards
- Prepare monthly operational finance reports, including (but not limited to) preparation of trial balances, balance sheets, statements of profit and loss, cash flow statements and variance analysis of the foregoing (vs both the budget and prior periods) for the head office and at group level
- Prepare annual and quarterly group consolidated financial statements under IFRS
- Participate to the budgeting exercise and coordinate with other functions and affiliates
- Support preparation of annual standalone financial statements for the Swiss holding company under Swiss CO

**Adhoc project**
- Participate actively and act as the technical FI/CO key user in the implementation of a new ERP, providing technical IFRS expertise

**CANDIDATES'S PROFILE**

**Education/Language**
- University degree or technical school equivalent in business with focus on accounting and finance
- Accountant certification
- French and English fluent, Portuguese a plus

**Professional skills & Experience**
- Min 8 years in Audit firm and/or industry
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Strong analytical mind and strong knowledge of business processes in general; pharmaceutical/medical device industry a plus
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of Swiss and IFRS accounting standards
- Ability to prepare and present to Management business analysis documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
