**Your mission**:
Lead the L3 Unit and ensure the implementation of EPFL’s strategy on life-long learning

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:
The Managing Director is responsible for the operational management of the L3 Unit, which oversees the development of life-long learning programs at EPFL. The L3 Unit is part of the Associate Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Education.

The responsibilities of the Managing Director include:

- Supervising and implementing the L3 institutional strategy
- Monitoring and oversight of the L3 portfolio of programs
- Facilitating the provision of and coordinating among L3 programs
- Organizing and managing the tasks assigned to the L3 Unit, such as
- Setting incentives for courses creation
- Helping programs with legal and ruling issues
- Creating and animating L3 networks and communities
- Monitoring L3 courses quality
- Liaising between supply and demand of L3 content
- Managing the L3 Unit team (currently 2 FTEs and expected to gradually reach 7 FTEs over two years)
- Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Postgraduate Education

**Your profile**:

- Master degree or PhD degree or equivalent
- A strong culture of service and support; capability and experience in managing multiple stakeholders
- Good understanding of the academic environment
- 5-10 years of experience in leading complex projects
- Excellent understanding of the area of continued education and relevant experience either in the academic world or the private industry
- Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Excellent ability to manage priorities and strong organizational skills
- Excellent team player
