Conditions and benefits of the Early Careers Programme
- Full-time onsite employment contract of 6 months with the World Economic Forum Geneva office
- We will accommodate start dates between September 1st to October 15th 2023
- Monthly gross compensation of CHF 4’400. (salary: CHF 4’050- plus health benefits: CHF 350-)
- All required technological equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and accesses
- Minimal travel support
The Travel and Transportation Industries activity, including Tourism, Aviation and Aerospace, as well as Automotive, Supply Chain and Logistics, form part of the Forum’s Global Industries Team (GIT). The GIT collaborates with the Forum's Business Engagement, Partner Development, Regions, and Centre teams to build the most forward-looking industry communities, develop comprehensive industry agendas, and anticipate and accelerate the responsible transformation of sectors.
Travel & Tourism Development Index
(TTDI).- Assist stakeholder community engagement, including preparation of materials to support communication with members of relevant communities such as strategy officers.- Identifying and mapping of key experts, innovators and influencers shaping the broader Travel and Transportation ecosystem(s), and gathering and synthesizing feedback and contributions from stakeholders and experts to inform insights and plans for the overall team strategy.- Support event management by helping plan meeting and event agendas, manage logistics, including invitations and registrations, and ensure effective representation from relevant stakeholders at meetings and events.- Help develop content and collateral, including drafting and preparing presentations, pre-reading materials, writing summaries from calls and events, and ensuring marketing material, website, and other support content is accurate and current.- Support team coordination with internal Forum teams from other centres, partner development, events planning, editorial, media, and others and assist with ad hoc administrative tasks.- Provide TTDI production support by researching development and sustainability trends relevant for TTDI Team content and events, as well as support planning and coordination of the TTDI report launch, media strategy and dissemination.
Preferred qualification and experience- Master’s degree or equivalent- Work experience in in a global setting; experience at an international organization, think-tank, management consultancy, or in strategy roles in aviation, travel or tourism companies- Deep knowledge and/or strong interest in the Travel or Transportation sectors, economic development, public policy, environmental, economic and/or social sustainability.
Desired skills- Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines.- Adaptability, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, showing, motivation, flexibility, and resilience when faced with challenges.- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
