For our client, a promising venture in the field of crypto trading for institutional market participants, we offer the position as Head Legal & Compliance (f/m)
Tasks
Duties and essential job functions
- Handling of all legal and compliance matters of the company
- Responsibility for compliance with laws and regulations in the areas of financial market law and prevention of money laundering
- Drafting and implementing policies and processes
- Monitoring regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions and evaluating their implications
- Leading internal projects as well as setting up implementation concepts
- Managing the cooperation with regulators, external legal partners, and auditors
- Negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts
- Supporting corporate finance, corporate development activities, as well as legal matters with the board, employees, and shareholders (including corporate events such as AGM, capital increases, and share register management.)
- Handling of legal & compliance projects (new products and offerings, new cross-border markets, new business initiatives)
- Manage reporting procedures and record-keeping, development and revision of compliance processes, and identification of hidden risks or non-conformity issues
**Requirements**:
Expected Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Master’s degree in law from a Swiss University or equivalent education abroad
- Experience in a compliance function in the financial industry, preferably in trading or banking
- Excellent command both orally and written of German and English is mandatory
- Pragmatic, business
- and detail-oriented approach with an entrepreneurial attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time pressure and in flexible hours
- Open-minded, solution-oriented can-do attitude with team spirit and endurance
- Experience in international legal and consulting firms is an advantage
- Active interest and experience in technology and digital assets is a plus
