**Global Head of Product and Portfolio Management - PCP (flexible location)**:

In this role you will plan, drive and support ABB’s global offering for process control products, system platforms and associated digital products and services. You will also collect inputs on business strategy and market requirements, particularly from ABB Divisions, and combine with technology requirements into a roadmap to keep a competitive and market-leading portfolio. You will report to Global Head of Process Control Platform (PCP).

**Your responsibilities**:

- Manage a global product portfolio (of software, hardware or services) throughout its whole life cycle, measured by product/system/ service profitability.
- Lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and potential new portfolio items including analysis of alternative investments and reviewing potential partnering options.
- Define brand and product portfolio offering and positioning in cases of multibrand ABB ownership.
- Lead product/system/service and solution strategy creation. Contributes to business strategy definition and translates business strategy into the product/system/service and solution portfolio through market and customer segmentation, and continuously analyses the content of the portfolio with a focus on new potential products.
- Define the appropriate balance between profitably serving and defending the installed base (with a number of different control system platforms) including related services and streamlining development roadmaps towards a future-oriented consistent offering winning markets in the future.
- Analyze and track globally market, technology, competitor and customer requirements and trends related to the product/system/service business and determines competitive attributes, prioritization and value proposition. Identifies needs, opportunities and risks and positioning against competition.
- Approve specific product/system/service business plans, makes global investment choices and pursues possible partnering approaches.
- Manage challenging customer escalations and nonconformities. Act as interface connecting customer/external market with internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development) and oversees resolution of customer issues. Provides marketing support, sales support and training offerings.
- Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Establish and maintain succession planning for key positions within Product Management.

**Your background**:

- 10-15 years of experience in the process automation or industrial automation industry with in-depth understanding in market dynamics, trends and technologies like electronics and software.
- Strong knowledge in Product Management and Engineering or Development.
- Excellent understanding of ABB’s process control offering, global markets, customers and competitors.
- Prior experience in several of the following areas in an international business environment: Marketing and Sales, Service, Product Management, Development, Operations.
- Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken);
- Excellent presentation acumen, proven experience in driving various ways to market like channel & account management, e-commerce.
- Strategic orientation, focused management.
- Experience in change & turnaround management, developing and leading large organizations in various business cycles.
