**Location/Division Specific Information**:
We are recruiting for a Process Liquids Field Applications Scientist (FAS) to join the EMEA FAS Bioproduction team. In this role, you will be the lead technical interface between the internal team and the external customers providing technical consulting and troubleshooting to identify the best Process Liquids solutions to meet their needs.

**Discover Impactful Work**:
FAS engage with a diverse cross-functional team to support the needs of our customers. This role provides the opportunity to work independently and in collaboration with the commercial team to bring solutions to our customers who are developing life-saving biologic therapeutics. Additionally, the FAS plays a meaningful role in supporting R&D and Product Management by helping to identify new product development opportunities. The FAS will support customers with Process Liquids activities related to specification of solutions, opportunity to convert to standard solutions, as well as supporting communication of custom product specifications to meet Right First-Time targets.

**A day in the Life**:

- Lead customer technical support during product evaluations, analyze data and collect & convey voice of customer to internal team members.
- Lead cross business unit activities (i.e., GEMBA), understanding the bioproduction workflow to effectively communicate Thermo Fisher Scientific capabilities to customers and drive lead sharing opportunities.

**Keys to Success**:
**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering), Masters or PhD degree preferred.

**Experience**:

- Experience working within the Biotech, Biologics, Life Sciences, and/or Biopharmaceutical industries in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing capacity, ideally with experience using Process Liquid products and associated systems.
- Comprehensive understanding with proven operational and technical experience using bioprocess containers and single-use systems within the bioprocessing industry.
- Significant experience in biomanufacturing workflow process development and cGMP environments preferred.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of downstream process, optimization, challenges and solutions as applicable to process liquids.
- Ability to proactively drive problem solving processes.
- Be fluent in English and at least one other language.
- Be able to travel easily.
