What can you expect from this position?
You will work as a Junior Technical Specialist in the IBM Infrastructure Technical Sales organization. You will support a team of technical infrastructure experts who act as trusted advisors for customers, business partners and IBMers in the definition of IBM Infrastructure solutions: IBM Power, IBM Storage and IBM Cloud. The team area of responsibility includes the implementation of briefings, workshops, proof of concepts, profitability analyses, competitive positioning, marketing activities. ecosystem development. Based on market developments, the focus is currently on artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, large language models (LLMs), machine/deep learning (ML/DL), data analytics and hybrid cloud. As an integral part of the Technical Sales team, you will support them in their described activities with a special focus on the growth market AI / Analytics and Redhat/Openshift on IBM Infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design infrastructure solutions tailored for AI workloads.
We are looking for a bachelor student who is:
- Eager to learn how to run a high-class software business in the Swiss market
- Curious and open to engage with Swiss clients and Ecosystem partners in multiple industries
- Passionate about new technologies in the field of Data & AI and how they can provide business value to clients
- Comes with a sales mindset and is keen to learn how to build compelling value propositions for clients
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Fluent in German and English
- Basic knowledge of information technologies
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills
- Communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Mobility and enjoy working in (international) teams
- Very good sales attitude, and ability to work with sales CRM / marketing tools
- Good knowledge of AI frameworks and libraries
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Prior experience with infrastructure technologies (e.g., virtualization, containerization, storage systems) is a plus
- Knowledge of Linux
- Interest in / knowledge of computer and processor architectures
- Fluent in Italian is a plus
