Vat (Value Added Tax) Advisor

The Advisor - European Consumption Taxes and Business Support is responsible to manage tax risks related to value-added taxes for the European operations of the company composed of manufacturing and distributing activities. Reporting to the Manager - Global Commodity Taxes based in Canada, you will work closely with the European management team to ensure compliance to European VAT legislations and will actively participate in the evolution of the Company's business model and its underlying legal structure related to restructuring or growth projects. Proactive and organized, you will have the opportunity to exploit your talents and skills by taking on the following duties and responsibilities:
**YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:

- Be proactive and involved in BRP’s operations to support our business units in identifying the VAT impacts of our agreements with suppliers and customers
- Provide VAT support and work with BRP’s teams to ensure BRP’s compliance with European VAT
- Manage and coordinate VAT audits
- Assess and communicate VAT issues and changes to legislations and regulations to the various units

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

- University degree in taxation or equivalent degree
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in VAT experience
- Very strong ability to anticipate and synthesize
- Ability to work under pressure
- Communicate fluently in English and French, both oral and written
- A proactive attitude, business acumen and adaptability
- ERP knowledge is a plus
