**As our successful Category Lead - Secondary Packaging EMEA** you will support category initiatives for a region and will implement regional category strategies for market-facing spend categories as part of the wider Category Strategies. You will support and lead proactive category projects for the delivery of regional Procurement targets. You will be involved in sourcing projects, demand management, and supplier relationship management, including supplier performance and innovation activities.

Reporting to the Direct Materials Procurement Lead, you will focus on the development of formalized Category Management methods and collaborate with Procurement and business stakeholders to ensure these are implemented effectively. In addition, you will ensure appropriate Supplier Relationship Management efforts are implemented in collaboration with already-existing business performance measures by ensuring clear understanding of the supplier segmentation. The objective of Supplier Relationship Management is to ensure performance delivery, continuous improvement, and access to innovation from supplier relationships to achieve value targets on a global basis.

You will be responsible to collate supplier, market, category, and internal business data and information for the region, and will be a key contributor of regional input and validation to the relevant global category strategies, ensuring engagement with relevant stakeholders. Using this as a basis for short and long-term plans, you will support the development of regional category strategies and communicate and distribute to relevant stakeholders in the Procurement and business community.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Category Management & Delivery (30%)**
- Provide category input to inform the top-down target setting process and take responsibility for the delivery of savings targets following engagement in the target setting process.
- Provide input into the development of the Category Plan based on the category strategy, business planning activities, and category pipeline. GCM will ensure communication with leadership to ensure these initiatives are staffed and executed on a timely basis in line with the targeted goals. This will involve providing oversight, support, and coaching to any allocated project managers in the deployment of projects, as well as direct leadership of projects as applicable.

**Processes, Metrics & Execution (15%)**
- Delivery of and accurate reporting of Procurement metrics and value contribution targets (operational metrics, savings, quality, etc.) achieved from implemented sourcing strategies, ensuring accurate and timely updates within the Procurement systems.
- Ensure annual operating activities are undertaken within the allocated budget and provide timely reporting to the Global Category Lead as required.
- Work with the required functions or other areas within Procurement (e.g. Process and Systems) to support programs to deliver spend accuracy in the covered sub-category area in line with agreed goals.

**Contract Management (10%)**
- Develop effective contracts in collaboration with Legal and other functional areas to mitigate risk and to ensure performance and service.
- Ensure global / regional contractual arrangements incorporate compliance and performance against KPIs.
- Ensure negotiated contracts are clearly communicated and applied across the sub-category.
- Follow the defined process to ensure contracts developed in the region are effectively implemented at a regional and local level (as needed) including both terms and conditions and sign off procedures.

**Supplier Relations (25%)**
- Own relationships to key suppliers for EMEA Secondary Packaging
- Support the Business and Sites with participation in performance management processes (e.g. business reviews).
- Ensure Supplier Performance and Innovation (SP&I) is engaged to challenge the status quo; this work will involve direct support by members of the SP&I team.
- Provide input into the overall category supplier segmentation to identify key supplier relationships within the region, with whom regular business supported reviews will be undertaken to at a minimum ensure delivery to expectations and target value over and above the contracted value via areas such as Innovations.
- Establish value creation targets with key suppliers within the region.
- Collate supplier information and feedback from countries, functions, sites, category teams and Business Partners
- Ensure that any supplier performance risks and issues are resolved on a timely basis to end user satisfaction.
