In the role as Regional Category Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and realizing the strategy for the assigned category - in line with the company´s targets. You act as “spider in the web” between suppliers and internal stakeholders from various functions to create maximum value for dsm-firmenich.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Active contribution to the objectives of Procurement as defined and closely linked to the objectives of dsm-firmenich, incl. commercial (cost and cash optimization activities and projects), sustainability
- and security of supply-targets
- Development of procurement strategy for the assigned category in Direct Procurement
- Execution of category strategies, supplier selection and supplier contracting in line with SHE- and Quality
- guidelines and systems
- Development and relationship management with key suppliers, supplier performance management
- Management of relationships with and close connection to key internal stakeholders
- Lead and / or participation in cross-functional project
- and procurement teams

**You bring**:

- Bachelors' degree in business, chemistry or engineering area, Master’s degree preferred;
- In-depth / multi-year experience in Category Management and Procurement processes (strategic and operational) in a B2B context, preferred in the Chemical Industry;
- Strategic Thinking and Creativity: Demonstrating the ability to think strategically and creatively, identifying innovative solutions to complex challenges;
- Very good negotiation skills and contracting experience;
- Experience in international organizations and cross-functional / matrix teams, very good communication skills
- Very good knowledge of English language, German or any other language is a plus;
