**Job Overview**

SHL is undertaking a digital transformation where our operational value-creating processes are optimized to end to end. The Design Support Services Organization (DSSO) in Zug has the mandate to continuously improve how we work in product development and in the technical organization.

The mission of SHL’s Systems Engineering (as part of the DSSO) team is to define and to support globally aligned methods in our development. The Role Modular Platform Expert will be in a driver seat role for the structuring our products and systems with the aim of creating efficient and flexible architectures that can easily deliver different variants of our products. This need to be realized together with individuality of customer wishes, standards and repeat effects (scaling of products and processes).

The role will be a key team member and supports the organization to strive towards business excellence. Active listening, the ability to abstract, solid verbal and written communication skills and excellent relationship building skills will be important abilities to effectively work with the product development and product management organizations and internal and external stakeholders. We expect empathy, openness, a positive mindset, and the ability to reach consensus, while being dedicated towards results and delivery.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop, improve and implement our technical Modularization and Platform Architecture from our overall Strategy
- Own Architecture Principles for the development and implement them in our processes
- Challenge the linked as-is processes and drive process-improvements towards robustness, agility, reusability and simplicity
- Support with offer processes and act as SME in early Innovation phases
- Align process interfaces with other main processes as well as supporting processes (e.g. regular process governance meetings)
- Ensure organizational change management for platforms
- Increase maturity of business processes (In/out-puts, roles, responsibilities, trainings, IT-systems, information-objects etc.) in alignment with internal stakeholders

**Skills and Qualification**
- Sound knowledge in math, statistics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software, Electronics, Manufacturing or Biomedical Engineering a plus
- Experience with Systems Engineering
- Experience from medical device industry as a plus
- Experience in DFX as a plus
- Project management and stakeholder management experience
- Analytical thinking in splitting up complex issues
