Transformation Lead, Strategic Investment

Reporting directly to the Head of SIID, the Transformation Lead is accountable for the continued transformation of the division in order to ensure that the division is fit for purpose and agile to deliver on the organizational priorities. This role is accountable for the smooth, coordinated, and consistent delivery of divisional priorities and deliverables. They also coordinate the SIID Strategic and Operational Workforce Planning exercise to determine and allocate resources based on organizational priorities and emerging needs, support any other ad hoc or standard corporate initiatives and processes.
The Transformation Lead provides strategic and operational support and advice to the Head of SIID in managing a diverse division and ensuring alignment across departments. In this capacity, the Transformation Lead works closely with department heads and managers in SIID to ensure coherence and synergy to SIID’s work and its collaboration and partnership with other internal teams and external parties.
Key responsibilities
The Transformation Lead provides leadership in the following areas:
SIID governance, coordination, and communication
- Under the direct oversight of the Head of SIID and in close collaboration with other SIID Heads of Department (HoDs), lead development of divisional priorities and resource planning (e.g., priority setting and budgeting exercise in organizational planning);
- In collaboration with the Head of SIID and HoDs, define and establish SIID divisional governance processes; coordinate governance calendar for SIID issues (e.g. MEC, SC, Board) and coordinate timely submission of all MEC and governance documents from SIID;
- Develop and communicate a holistic and dynamic annual work plan with key milestones and related interdependencies to the various stakeholder groups that are impacted and/or enabled;
- Coordinate execution and monitoring of change initiatives
- Develop and implement a communication plan, ensuring effective communication of important divisional milestones, achievements, and messages.
- Consolidate, track and follow up on all People related indicators, surveys and action plans (e.g. linked to the Employee Engagement Survey, Wellbeing Action Plan, Psychological Safety, Hybrid Working, etc.)
Strategic Workforce Planning and resource management:
- Develop robust evidence-based resource management, and a calibration methodology that is aligned with HR principles and guidance on workforce planning and process optimization
- Lead consultation and alignment with HoDs to assess resource needs of each department; identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and recommend reallocation and assignment of resources;
- Lead coordination of divisional budgeting activities, including requests and forecasting.
Performance Management Framework
- Design and maintain SIID’s performance management framework for optimal management and monitoring of the strategic performance indicators (KPIs) cascaded under the accountability of the division;
- Develop the annual divisional objectives for performance management and ensure alignment to the organizational priorities;
- Develop and maintain a robust performance tracking and calibration tool and perform regular monitoring to ensure proactive identification of progress and create an early warning system on the attainment of performance targets against results;
- Consolidate and validate key performance results and progress updates collected from various sources and ensure that these are integrated accurately in the divisional dashboard and the organization’s reporting processes (P&A metrics, KPI reporting etc)
Member of SIID leadership team:
- Ensure alignment of Front Office activities with organizational priorities;
- Supervise secretariat function to HoD and management team meetings and events.
- In collaboration with the Head of SIID, ensure effective HOD meetings and retreats through agenda management, facilitation (if required) and workshop design
Management of the Front Office and people management:
- Create and manage strong Front Office with resources to undertake divisional admin tasks, including exception management and HR processes (e.g. recruitment processes, job descriptions and leave management);
- Centralization of key generic divisional functions to allow more efficiencies among support staff; design and implement centralized management of divisional operational matters.
- Ensure smooth and effective onboarding of new joiners into SIID.
- Support implementation of divisional and organizational initiatives to enhance staff wellbeing and team building;
- Supervise team charged with the planning and monitoring of operational activities of SIID in terms of project management, operational excellence, divisional performance management, and workforce planning;
- Undertake all team management responsibilities for the FO SIID staff including recruitment, objective setting, performance management, team building.
