**REPORTS TO**: Head of Trade and Distribution

**PURPOSE STATEMENT**
- Deliver the BAT Vending role and 5 Year Plan initiatives and strategy (as validated by BATV Board) by:

- managing external stakeholders and negotiating contracts (3PL, Leasing, distribution agreements)
- leading Vending Team and
- effective cross-functional collaboration (Finance, Procurement, Activation, LEX and others)

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

Strategic scope:

- Own and deliver 5Y share, volume and profit outlook of BATV business model
- Identify and develop future business opportunities to deliver vending strategic goals
- Develop Business Cases and escalate as relevant (e.g. Telemetry, park acquisitions, digital VMs, etc)
- Align plans with operator capability requirements and leasing contract impact (negotiate as relevant)

Operational scope:

- Maintain governance of operations as per Contract via BPRM framework and SLA delivery (tracked via contractual KPIs) and agree on Operator&BATV action plans to improve operations
- Drive effectiveness and/or efficiency projects together with operator that secure BAT Vending P&L delivery
- Overlook the implementation of BATV development plans (cashless, outdoor, etc) and ensure volume / profit objectives in BAT Vending are achieved through most efficient use of resources
- Closely review the stock management reporting i.e. stock and cash, spare parts, vending machines in the field and at the warehouse, especially at the year end closure and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements (YSP, etc)
- Perform regular field visits with BATV Coordinator and VSRs
- Importantly, independently manage and make decisions on the operations within agreed framework (selective escalation to the Head of Trade and Distribution / BATV Board strategic matters)

People and Stakeholders:

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external partner VMSA, Altux, CHG, G&F and others
- Lead the Vending Team and ensure the SFIS is aligned to strategic objectives / remains relevant to a given year and wave priorities
- Build effective relationships with other functional teams and SLT

**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE**
- University degree or equivalent
- German, English, French
- Comprehensive understanding of all elements of the marketing mix
- Comprehensive understanding of all company functions, e.g. supply chain, customer service, LEX
- Strategic thinking
- Commercial mindset and negotiation skills
- Ability to drive out complexity and to pass the simple message to senior audience
- Key Account or Trade Marketing within FMCG company
- People management
