GenomSys SA is a disruptive swiss healthcare software company with two offices in Switzerland (Lausanne and Lugano), looking to transform how the world accesses to genomics with innovative software solutions for professionals and individuals.
Our solutions are based on the only ISO standard for genomic data that we contributed to shape and enable a significant acceleration of usage of genomic data. Our professional solutions offer significant improvements in terms of speed and efficiency, all CE-marked for diagnostic use, while our revolutionary GenomYou app will enable individual to carry their sequenced DNA in their smartphone and access analyses both for lifestyle and diagnostic purposes directly from their phone. All this thanks to the integration between the two modular solutions and our unique technological solutions.
GenomSys has grown significantly in the past two years from 8 to over 20 people with utmost focus on finalizing and bringing its technology and products to the market. We are now in a phase of accelerating market development, opening new offices and targeting completely new markets globally.
**The Chief of Staff role**
As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for supporting the CEO in defining, communicating and executing the company’s strategy across all its domains and in ensuring clear visibility and tight control on the business plan and financial situation of the company.
This will include developing appropriate communication to internal and external stakeholders (Board members, employees, shareholders, potential investors, existing and potential partners), updating the overall business plan and developing business cases for specific initiatives to be evaluated, define and coordinate overall teambuilding and team culture activities, develop and monitor implementation plans for priority initiatives and coordinate financial forecasting and monitoring activities. You will have a major role in ensuring key initiatives (both in terms of major product releases and in terms of commercial partnership) are properly framed and hit fast their key milestones to assure company’s success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support CEO on broad stakeholder management and for various internal and external strategic alignments, e.g., managing Board or investor meeting preparation and creation of materials
- Act as a thought partner to the CEO and broader executive team to identify the key strategic projects and lead project planning, execution and monitoring for core company initiatives
- Lead business planning (jointly with Business Development), and the forecasting and controlling activities coordinating administration and control
- Support Business Development in the creation of value propositions to engage potential partners and investors and in the improvement of the go-to-market model(s)
- Lead the talent management and recruitment process across the whole company and ensure the development of an open, collaborative and teamworking environment across the different function and offices of the Company
- Actively support the orchestration of external presence and fundraising, including the development of the company strategic presentations (pitch decks) and the fundraising activity when required
**Requirements**:
- 2-4 years of experience in top tier consulting company
- 2+ years of experience in an operational role in an industrial company or similar environment
- Top notch analytical capabilities - able to quickly extract and present key insights and build data-driven recommendations and to quickly move from insights into action
- Strong leadership skills with good people management and teamworking ability
- Ability to clearly frame and communicate complex concepts both in writing and orally
- Entrepreneurial and startup mindset, positive can-do attitude and eager to challenge the status quo and innovate to drive business growth.
- Project planning and project management experience with proven ability at prioritize work
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or management engineering, advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Fluent in English
- Swiss or EU citizenship or existing Swiss work permit
Also a plus
- Experience with fundraising dynamics and processes
- Knowledge of healthcare industry (and in particular medical device or molecular diagnostics)
- Fluency in Italian and/or French or Spanish
