The Process Excellence lead is an expert who understands the intricacies of operational excellence in the context of Pharma Forecasting and related Supply Chain and Financial Planning impact. Responsible for defining, building, and executing the strategy and mechanisms that support the continuous improvement enterprise-wide initiatives and program including related system solutions (SAP ERP and SAP IBP). Lead and guide the Demand Forecasting team in adoption of future tools and practices that bring cross-functional teams together to understand, document and simplify processes across teams. Work closely with cross-functional teams on program and projects that enhance business processes, improve reliability, increase simplicity, and enable growth by using Agile, Lean, Six Sigma data driven, problem-solving methodologies to deliver tangible business results.
The position is defined as RBD (Remote by Design), but would ideally be located in Switzerland or US (NJ) to enable interaction with our operational team as well as key stakeholders if and when needed.
**Responsibilities**
- Management of the overall process improvement program and able to make iterative changes as appropriate to keep the program evolving against strategic drivers and future needs.
- Develop and implement a “best-in-class” continuous improvement strategy to enhance the Process Excellence function by defining standards and governance, tools, and methodology to build on executive engagement across BMS.
- Facilitate process improvement meetings and workshops, including business process reengineering sessions, brainstorming sessions, and various process improvement guidance to staff.
- Measure, analyze, and evaluate existing processes, collect data to identify root causes, preform cost benefit analysis, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify, plan, and implement multiple projects, studying ways to make improvements to one or many steps to increase productivity, reduce costs, time management, and recommend solutions that align with business priorities.
- Develop and design documents including training manuals, process outlines, flowcharts, checklists, templates, and implementation procedures to make sure the process is sustainable over time
- Collaborate closely with other Process Excellence teams within BMS, Global Supply Chain key stakeholders, Commercial Market teams and Financial Planning & Analytics
**Knowledge, Skills And Abilities**
- Design enterprise-wide process improvement programs to train and embed a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong ability to develop and deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations which fits to the respective audience
- Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and motivate professionals within the Demand Planning team and across the organization
- Advanced wide-ranging experience, using in-depth professional knowledge, acumen, concepts, and company objectives to develop programs and procedures and resolve complex issues around Forecasting, Supply Chain and Financial Planning
- Ability to think strategically, to proactively understand needs of key customers/stakeholder, and provide solutions to overcome current pain points and obstacles.
- Ability to develop policies, procedures, and practices that meet needs of the business.
**Education, Experience and Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree required. Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of related progressive continuous improvement, analytical, project management or business analysis experience including supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility leading process improvement projects, especially in Forecasting and Supply Chain
- Experience as SAP IBP system user strongly preferred
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements, preferred in an SAP ERP environment
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional Certification (PMPC), Lean, Six Sigma or Agile Certified, are preferred.
**Physical Requirements**
Role is Remote by Design, nevertheless, approximately 10-20% travel per quarter expected primarily Switzerland and US (NJ)
