Global Product Manager Steel Protection

**What's the role?**:
As a Global Product Manager, you will be responsible to create a global product portfolio strategy for the steel protection product basket & lead the worldwide market introduction. You will define the future products' vision and own the roadmap together with your technical counterparts. You will work closely with our development team, with customers, with our sales organisation and with external business partners. Finally, you will drive the process of business development with the target to establish the steel protection as a significant & sustainable profit contributor for the organization.

**What does the role involve?**:
You will have ownership of a portfolio of steel protection coatings within our global marketing team in our Headquarters. You will define and develop the strategy and roadmap to evaluate & address customer requirements & value proposition of the future product portfolio. You will continuously work with customers, with our marketing and sales colleagues around the world, and with our research and development teams. Your work will vary a lot, from the analysis of customer’s needs to shape the vision of a new product with its attached business case, to building up a marketing strategy in preparation of a product launch but also teaming up with our marketing colleagues in the sales organizations to drive sales of our existing portfolio. You will be visiting jobsites and customers around the world, be the first to try and demonstrate products and sit in front of the management to convince them of your strategic choices. You will be part of an international, diverse, passioned & experienced product management team of business unit Fire Protection.

**What you need is**:
- A master’s degree in chemistry, marketing or business. An MBA from a leading business school is a plus.
- Proven track record in the construction industry, more precisely in passive Fire Protection business, ideally in a product marketing role.
- Proven ability to analyse complex business topics, craft implementable solutions, persistence in driving financial success.
- Strong interpersonal skills to successfully perform in a global matrix environment and a team player.
