Senior-level role with end-to-end responsibility for M&A project execution. Manage internal and external project teams to deliver successful process (origination, approvals/governance, due diligence, transaction negotiation, post-signing). Partner with business units to screen and originate opportunities in line with approved corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead project execution of M&A transactions, providing guidance and inspiration to deal team. Adhere to Lonza procedures
- Communicate and manage internal processes for M&A, e.g. EC and board approvals. Persuade senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders in business and the functions to maximize productive screening and origination of potential targets
- Gain deep understanding of Lonza strategy and provide external commercial focus to create actionable opportunities
- Drive analytics with rigor and judgement. Own valuation and risk assessment of targets
- Contribute to M&A infrastructure where appropriate, for example CRM system, intelligence assessment, precedent deal analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

- Bachelors or Masters in in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting with coursework in Corporate finance valuation
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Fluent in English; German helpful
- Experience in M&A or strategy advisory (investment bank, consultancy, Big 4) a plus
- Background in Life Sciences could be beneficial but not a requirement
