**Position Purpose**:
The Analytical Services External Supply Integration (ESI) Global Lead is responsible to develop a Global Analytical Partnering Strategy in close collaboration with the leadership of Quality Control and Research and Development. The role will execute a significant portfolio of technology transfers and establish a stable and reliable operations to defined performance measures before assigning responsibility to the QC and or R&D sample management team. This role ensures that CSL Behring and R&D Analytical Services operations globally can meet significant future growth aspirations through outsourcing to world class contract testing laboratories. The global role will be lead Analytical Services external supply strategy and execution for the CSL enterprise. The role will support the development of strategies, investigate, and build critical external E2E operational networks globally, and be accountable for all Analytical Services partner relationships to support delivery of CSL’s long term growth strategy.

The role is responsible for oversight of partnerships for Analytical Services across the Enterprise to ensure they are aligned to CSL’s strategy and receive proactive management. The role will work within robust governance to establish CSL as a valued customer in the contract manufacturing and external services business environments. The role will lead and work with a number of teams of peers representing a broad range of functions, both global and regional, to ensure consistent delivery to best practices. The role will also identify and propose opportunities for CSL to leverage internal assets for external parties where appropriate to maximize return from assets. The position is a member of the External Supply Integration Leadership Team which reports into the Chief Operating Officer.

**Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Provides leadership of all analytical services partnerships that form a part of the overall External Supply Integration strategy:

- Accountable for the development of short, medium, and long-term external supply integration strategies for Analytical Services aligned with CSL’s Enterprise needs, including Behring’s and R&D’s
- Investigates, develops business cases and implements high quality contract laboratory partnerships globally
- Develops and maintains an up to date knowledge base of the external provider capabilities
- Drives relevant due diligence processes & business case development
- Sets objectives & KPI’s early in the relationship and provides clear direction for assigned partnerships. Is responsible for transitioning high quality and stabilised operational relationships to the QC and R&D sample management teams that will continue to deliver at high performance levels
- Ensures that critical supply chain interfaces between the partners and CSL are established, and that information related to planning, quality and supply requirements are clear and transparent within CSL and the partner organization
- Ensures alignment between End to End Supply Chain, External Supply Integration, QC, R&D, new product development & Network Strategy for Analytical Services
- Is a significant contributor to the global ESI team and its strategies

Provides leadership of Integrated Project Teams to implement partnerships for Analytical Services globally:

- Assemble matrixed project teams, develop project plans, risk management plans and is responsible to lead the implementation of externalization projects for Analytical Services operations for assigned projects
- Provide project status reporting according to the ESI governance requirements and develop risk mitigation actions to keep projects on track
- Deliver regulatory approved outsourced capabilities to approved project timelines and budgets to the required quality and standards

Works within management systems that deliver compliant, sustainable performance and value in defined external supply relationships

Work within the governance of the External Supply Operating Model including execution of:

- Technology transfers, operational readiness and quality systems partnering with relevant colleagues in sourcing, QC, R&D, quality and regulatory
- Robust contract execution management and governance to secure sustainable, predictable performance
- Contract and business risk and account management
- Establishment & delivery of KPIs for costs, quality, sustainability which drive business significant improvements for responsible unit operations
- Quality and regulatory compliance of relevant external suppliers in partnership with appropriate groups.

Leads alliance management for Analytical Services partnerships globally
- Aligns to the alliance management strategy of ESI and uses leading practices in the management of strategically important and high value external operational relationships
