**About this opportunity**

The Associate Director, Commercial Marketing is responsible for the development and performance of commercial initiatives across EMEA, which focus on growing product revenue, understanding and influencing customer buying behavior, developing new go-to-market approaches and/or increasing customer engagement and satisfaction. The role reports to the Director Marketing Commercial EMEA:
Key initiative topics may include but are not limited to: product discount and customer programs, product affordability, financing programs, promotions, customer communications, product profitability, and special account development/management.

Working in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization, the Associate Director, Commercial Marketing Manager, manages the creation, development, execution, performance and budget for allocated commercial projects/initiatives. You will use sound strategic judgment, thinks critically and analytically, works well in cross-functional teams, leads and communicates effectively with stakeholders across all levels.

**In this role, you will**
- Create and manage commercial marketing programs and tools which accelerate Align’s product adoption and revenue growth. This implies a deep understanding of Align’s customer base (orthodontists, dentists), product benefits and competitive landscape.
- Codesign long term commercial marketing strategy
- Understand budgeting requirements for specific projects
- Work Collaboratively with counterpart in the Orthodontic and GP channel and iTero team.
- Work to ensure key stakeholder buy-in for new initiatives across central support function and country level.
- Lead or oversee commercial initiatives/projects from design to execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the global organization, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations sharing Best Practice opportunities.
- Liaise with customers to better understand impact of commercial initiatives, as well as potential ways to improve Align’s value proposition in these areas.
- Travel to Sales Meetings, Territory Manager Dual calling and country forum to gain better insights and suggestions on new commercial propositions.
- Proactively provide recommendations for improvements to commercial initiatives
**In this role, you’ll need **
- Strong understanding of the essentials of sales and marketing
- Strong communication (writing, oral, & presentation) and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Shows initiative, takes action, & maintains ownership
- Self-starting, hands-on mentality with a pro-active mindset, able to the lead and work independently while consulting and involving relevant stakeholders
- Creates a collaborative work environment and works well with cross-functional teams
- Thinks critically and strategically, and can balance creativity and practicality
- Understand cost/benefit relationships
- Use sound judgment and maintains integrity
- Strong customer focus, understanding needs, and market drivers
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing/business
- Master’s degree in business highly beneficial
- 10+ years of experience working in sales or marketing with a proven track record of excellent performance
- Customer-facing experience
- Commercial experience in the medical device industry desirable
- Fluency in English mandatory
- Fluency in French, Italian, German, Spanish or other relevant European languages highly beneficial
